Sick :(

Looks like my annual sicky came early this year. Was complaining of jaw-pain from over-clenching, went to the dentist and he prescribed me sleeping pills lol. Sure doc. Then it struck me, i was clenching to clear the ear-blockage that usually comes with the flu. So the flu bore down and finally hit me last Saturday. That night i was sneezing my lungs out, and on Sunday morning, went to the docs for some proper flu medication. The cough mixture is a knockout as always, so i was regularly sleeping and waking up and coughing up a storm. Today felt a little better.. i'm blaming the hot days and afternoon rain from last week for the sickness. oh well.

The 8-Ball of Truth.

So okay. i was bored (more like clueless on what to come up with for this blog's header's design) so i started messing around with the Magic 8-Ball of mine. So i started asking stuff. Q: I'm bored. Will you entertain me? A: Yes. Nice. I'm in for some insights, it seems. Q: Will I be making good money this year? A: Better not tell you now. Uh, okay. Let's leave it at that. Q: Will i be getting married this year? A: Outlook not so good. Mira's not gonna like that answer. Q: How about next year? A:Most likely. Haha. Next year it is! (i'm telling you. You can actually plan your life from this 8-ball of mine) Q: Are you kidding me? A: No. Oookay. Creepy. Honestly. This 8-Ball has been correct most of the time. I've asked things that only I know of and it actually answered correctly. Ooh. I've got an idea. How about you guys shoot me with some questions, and i'll ask on your behalf, and post your answers right here. Let's stick to the easy Yes/No questions. So i was minding my own business, reading other's blogs and suddenly came across this post over at 9/10. Now i gotta keep the ball rolling... I myself usually lug my gold coloured Nike messenger bag around... and in my bag, i (usually) have... A spare 20-stick pack of Marlboro Reds. A spare cigarette lighter. An A4 sketchbook. A leatherbound organizer (with it's calendar off by a year, time to replace that). A pen. For doodling. And defacing public bathrooms. Either my 60gb iPod photo or my brand spanking new 2nd generation iPod shuffle. Sometimes both. Sennheiser earphones. My ass. Right, now that's done and dusted, why don't you, you and you, please keep the ball rolling as well! And if you're reading this, then you're tagged too. Ha.

One and a half year.

That’s right. It’s been at least that long since I last shared what I’ve been up to on a day-to-day basis (yeah right). Things have changed in a lot of ways, some good and some not so good. For instance, both my brothers are studying overseas, Chik’s in Melbourne and Fen in New Jersey, and my baby sister is in boarding school, so that leaves me as the house caretaker. Sure it’s fun being alone but after a few weeks of playing with myself (ha.) it started to get lonely. Though I got a cat to keep me company, there’s just no substitute to having siblings around all the time to fight and talk and share chores and errands with. I am looking forward to the times when they come back for holidays, beats talking on MSN all the time. On the work front, I joined Dentsu Utama after I left Ellipsis, say, right about after the last blog entry. Dentsu Utama was an eye opener in the sense that it’s THE way a proper ad agency is run. It was a great experience, working with great people and having a hand in a lot of very interesting projects. But alas the stay wasn’t a long one, possibly due to my own incompetence and some other factors, such as a certain someone making things really hard to work with. So I’ve been unemployed since August last year. Guess I’m just sick of having to answer to anyone, and I thought that I’d make a good boss for myself. But a few things stood in the way of achieving that. Mom had breast cancer in November, although Alhamdulillah we caught it at an early stage but it was still very frightening. 2 months went by attending to her while she went for treatment and recuperating. She’s back to her old self now, being the supermom/superwife that she has always been. Now that I’ve all the time I want, I’m gonna be starting up a T-shirt line with my own designs + some friends contributing. I’d like to share these but at the moment as with everything retail I’d like to keep them under wraps until they’re ready for sale, so watch this space! And also there’s another venture of mine and mom, it’s a fast-food joint and yeah that is still under wraps too. Will update you guys on how that goes. Guess that’s enough for now, gonna get back to my beloved XBOX360 for some hot multiplayer action. See that gamertag on the right?
