Ego searching

I took a cue from Saddiq and went on to Google myself and some other things. Of course there's a link to this blog and some forums but the more interesting links were found while looking for my Subway store. Here's some of it.

Lunch @ Subway, Kelana Jaya by W.

"The price was reasonable and the taste. GOOD! It’ll definitely be the new fast food place I’ll frequent more often. Aside from the more healthy diet, compared to the likes of McD, KFC or even BK. Carl’s Jr. is out because it is so damn costly.

Subway! Here I come again!"

One satisfied customer. Next!

Subway Sandwiches & Salads @ Dataran Glomac, Kelana Jaya by Joyce.

"I was the first to order, when the staff asked me 'you want 6 inches or foot long'? i asked her, which one is the shorter one? wuahahaahhaa, stupid question rite? well, i just want to make sure mar."

LoL.

Hari ini kita makan sandwich! by ichigo.

"..kat restaurant ni tadi saya ada dengar lagu Cake, wallflowers dan sumer lagu dari band yg saya suke...bagus subway kelana jaya ni!!"

Sure. I love my rock music. Glad to know there's people out there who shares my musical taste!

However, the best post had to be this one.

Subway, Kelana Jaya by FaizahZainalAbidin.

"..my dining experience was marred by the antics of a young couple (late teens?). I saw this young boy chasing after this young girl; brother and sister? or boyfriend and girlfriend? I don't know. But what I could not comprehend was that the boy, upon the girl reaching the doorway of the restaurant, literally gave the girl a "flying kick" to her body in which she fell hard against the garbage bin by the doorway. And to my further amazement, the girl, holding 2 motorcycle helmets as well as her bag, reciprocated by giving a hard push. I was expecting a fight to happen when luckily the boy left and the girl came into the restaurant. But, I believe, she, not willing to admit defeat, then decided to go out after the boy. I could not see what further ensued but the girl came back, got some stuff and left."

I actually kept a copy of CCTV footage of this event. The girl was one of my staff who is known to have a violent relationship with her boyfriend. What Faizah didn't see was that she actually smacked the peanuts out of the boyfriend's shit with the helmets and came back in victorious, ordered a sandwich for her mother (it was her day off) and left WITH the boyfriend. I, however, though found the whole event to be really funny, told her off for scaring our customers. "Leave your home problems outside the store", I said. She has since bucked up and now back in school.

Well those are some of the reviews of our store, there's more, but alhamdulillah, no bad ratings. yet. Don't be afraid to leave negative comments! It's all part of a learning process!

And thank you dear bloggers! We hope for your continued patronage at Subway Kelana Jaya!

Looking back.

Salam to all, after looking at all the blog posts that's on this site, it seems that we need a little spot of powerhapdet.

First off, I'm a married man now. I married the love of my life after 7 years of ups and downs, and sometimes sideways (heheh). And last Sunday marked the 3rd month of husbandry. It's great to have a wife who wakes me up every morning. Sucky part is that we still have to share that single bed. No point in purchasing a bigger bed since we're moving to our new home soonish.

Our Kelana Jaya Subway store will be one year old on Thursday. We had our fair share of staff coming in and out, some friendly goodbyes, some got kicked out. One actually made copies of the store's keys and came in at night to steal money (more on that on Mira's post here). We're making some money, not much, but it's all a learning process for both me and Fadzil. What it had taught me most is that the hardest thing to manage in any company is of human resources. As much control as you can have over your company, you will never have full reign on people power. One guy may be all good today but decides to convince 3 others to quit the next day. True story.

Also after looking at my posts, it made think back of what i've done for myself and for everyone else that matters to me. I think i did good, some regrets of course, but nothing too deep. I regretted not paying much attention in Lim Kok Wing when i had great friends around me who although didn't have much fun with the place but stuck to it and graduated. But out of that I found a great job at an advertising company who gave me the best working experience I've ever ever had.

I'm glad that i left Dentsu Utama as it thought me about how not to run people into the ground and bury them deep in shit that was shot out of someone else's ass. If a certain person is reading this (you know who you are), trust me. If you had actually bothered to shake off your pride and actually spoke to me like a real person would instead of shooting out that nasty email, you'd have all the respect that I could give to anyone.

I'm content that I'm no longer a mental burden to my parents due to me rebellious nature, i guess i grew out of it and sometimes, you just gotta go with the flow and not expect the world to flow around you.

I'm happy that i'm here in Malaysia, after all those years of yearning for overseas living and being away from nosy families so i can do stuff that i want whenever i want. I know people who thinks that they're happier where they are now, but I believe they're in deep denial and cries in their sleep whenever the hot summer burns and the winter chill bites. But there's also people who is genuinely doing well and to those of you, godspeed and have a good life.

I sold off my beloved Satria, and now driving a brand new Perodua Viva. Yeah it didn't drive as fun as my old Satria did, but it's awesome mileage-wise, and with a little bit of modification it'll be the perfect pocket-rocket for Mira and I to enjoy.

We'll be starting on a 6-month short course of Financial Management for Non-Finance Managers, with an ACCA accredited exam in May. Going back to a classroom environment scares me a little, especially when the prospective classmates are at least 5 years older than i am. Should be good with me running a business with ZERO finance sense, and Mira wanted to start her own business in the not too distant future.

Here's to what's coming for us, with a second store lined up and moving into our new house. Planning to bless our new house with a bundle of joy too, but Mira didn't want to celebrate our wedding anniversary, my birthday and the new baby's birthday all in one month hahah. Aaaand will definitely update to those who took their time to read this posts on how that goes.

That was long enough. I wish i could write as much whenever I blog, but hey, you make do with what you can!

And it's never too late, too old to be a rockstar.
